The creme de la creme of Las Vegas’ society women attended the most anticipated fashion show and luncheon fundraiser of the year in honor of the Nathan Adelson Hospice. The 13th annual event has supported the fundraising efforts for the Las Vegas based hospice by raising over $6 million throughout the years. This year the event partnered with Neiman Marcus and Wynn Resorts.

What better way to spend an afternoon in Las Vegas than at the luxurious Wynn Resort. Guests were greeted with champagne and offered labels to quickly and effortlessly tag the items displayed in the “Only the Best” drawing opportunity. Ranging from handbags, to exclusive experiences, jewelry and more, the drawing opportunity is one you want to see your name appear on the big screen as a winner.

Locals look forward to this event all year to see which designer will be represented on the runway. This year, Neiman Marcus did not fail the crowd when the Fall Collection  2013 for Roland Mouret was introduced, along with an appearance by the designer himself. Mouret has achieved recognition as a favorite designer of the Hollywood elite, and his creations have become a fixture on the red carpet during awards season. Following the launch of his iconic Galaxy dress in 2005, Mouret was named “Red Carpet Designer of the Year” at the British Fashion Council Fashion Awards.

Of course, who can top the white glove service only the Wynn Resorts can provide. Lunch was as to be expected; delicious, with favorites such as asparagus salad, Mary’s Organic Chicken Breast Roulade Sweet Pea Risotto in a Morel Mushrooms Thyme juice, and a decadent chocolate dessert, all accompanied with wine, coffee or iced tea.

It was remarkable to see so many respected community women socially. Some of the women even brought along their teen-aged daughters as a start to a great Mother-Daughter social good tradition. An elegant luncheon, drawing oppportunity and fashion show to support a top notch hospice facility founded by local Las Vegas innovators. Don’t miss next year’s Flair for Care benefiting Nathan Adelson Hospice.
