Make the Next 10-Days More Beautiful Results

It’s been 10-days since I started my challenge with the Algenist Concentrated Reconstructing Serum, and I have to say, I really like it.

A quick photo of me before starting my 10-day challenge. The girl to the right is my cute sister, and my beauty guru. She has been an aesthetician for over 10 years, and I always check-in with her before I invest in products. She was also intrigued by the new Algenist line and was anxious to see my results.

Here’s what I have been doing different for the last 10-days:

  • Started my challenge with the Bright Skin Facial at the Costa del Sur Spa.
  • Took a 3-day relaxation trip with my RockStar husband where we slept…a ton.
  • Consistently taking my daily regimin of vitamins and supplements.
  • Using either my Clarisonic or my Eminence Organics Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant once daily.
  • Juicing twice a day.
  • Yoga once a week.
  • Remembering to drink water as much as possible.
  • Implementing the Algenist Concentrated Reconstructing Serum into my skin care routine.

Here’s what I noticed:

  • My skin looks brighter.
  • My skin feels lighter and cleaner.
  • That nasty, deep wrinkle right above my left eyebrow is less visibile.
  • The ugly crow feet that surround both eyes are also less visible.
  • The bags under my eyes are not as deep and dark as before.

Not to mention, I’ve received many compliments about my skin over the last few weeks, and have been carded at least 2 times! I am also wearing considerably less make-up than before. A little concealor and a light powder finish around my eyes, mascara and brow touch-ups with my favorite Tom Ford Beauty products, and I’m ready to go. It’s not the wrinkle eraser that Botox will provide, but for now, I’m very pleased with results. I have also realized that I do not take enough photos of myself. I did my best using my iPhone, but you have to trust me on this one!

Here’s a little secret…I’m turning 40! OK, not in 10-days, but in a few more years. In the meantime, I’ve started to notice these little lines setting in around my lips. When I look in the mirror, I see the beginning signs of bags under my eyes, and when I raise my eyebrow to give my kids “The Look”, I see all kinds of scariness happening all over my forehead, brow line and corners of my eyes. I’m aging! And, I’m having a hard time doing it gracefully.

I’m not yet keen to the botox sessions some of my girlfriends have added to their calendars. I’m a scaredy-cat, and thoroughly convinced there is some product(s) out there that will resurface my face so that I don’t have to give in to becoming a botox junkie too soon. In fact, I’ve made a pact with myself to work as hard as I can on the inside and outside for the next year. After 365-days, whatever is left over can then succumb to the plastic surgeon. For the last nine months, I have been working diligently with my friend and colleague over at The Trend Tribe, putting together a social media influencers weekend that promises to be an amazing time! Getting primped and prime for such an event calls for a little bit of relaxing, and that’s exactly what I booked for myself this week. I was invited by the J.W. Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa to visit their Aquae Sulis Spa and indulge in two of their seasonal treatments: the Pretty in Pink Facial and the Orange Spice Pumpkin and Polish. It was the perfect way to settle my mind and focus on what I needed to get done. The Aquae Sulis Spa has been one of my favorite off the Strip places to take visitors, or just enjoy as a local since it opened several years ago. With a 30% daily discount for locals on any spa treatment, any day of the week, why wouldn’t it be on your favorites list?

The Pretty in Pink facial is a customized facial tailored by your aesthetician to meet the needs of your skin. Mine was craving a bit of a peel and some hydration, so the aesthetician added the mask from the Porefection Pumpkin Facial to mine. Loved it! Pumpkin is a natural enzyme and antioxidant that eats up all the free radicals sitting on top of your skin, and also acts a catalyst to allow better absorption of moisturizers. The warm, tingly sensation told me right away that it was working, and it smelled delicious, most likely due to it being an all natural and organic product from the Hylunia skin care line. My face felt wonderful and my make-up applied evenly and smoothly that night. My spa day did not end there.
