Places to rock in Vegas with or without your little entourage. (c)

Town Square.  What more could you ask for when wanting to get out of the crazy expensive, over the top and impersonal places on the Strip?  A place located just south of the big hotels on Las Vegas Boulevard, close enough to take a quick cab ride, yet far enough to escape to some reality.  Got little ones?  You will love the Town Square Park featuring several pretty awesome playhouses, treehouses, an old skool merry-go-round and teeter-totters, a Children’s Theater, a Hedge Maze, and a “Pop-Jet” Fountain (water play during seasonal months).  Check their calendar for special events and Story Time. Got teenagers?  They will love the cool, price perfect shops (Gap, Old Navy, Skechers) and the Town Square Park where they can chill on the grass with their iPhones and text away…at least they’ll be getting some fresh air.  There are great restaurants, great bars, and a Rave Motion Pictures where all the latest and greatest films play.  All summer long, they feature G and PG rated films in the Town Square Park.  It’s free admission, and is based on first come first served spacing, so get there early!  There is always some happening monthly events that even the locals cruise on down for, as well as Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar…this summer they’re taking it outside.  Oh! How could I forget!  Whole Foods Market.  A great-to-know if you are craving some delicious, nutritious snacks and meals, or Earth friendly products while in town.
