Always on the CUSP of fashion, Neiman Marcus has transformed their Contemporary department into a boutique style shopping experience with desirable price-points. I had the opportunity to tour the new fashion scene, and completely fell in love with the lines available. How many of you are the following shoppers: Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Neimans? I am. Those are my immediate go-tos for a quick fashion fix. (Although, my new favorite find and addition to that is TopShop.) What I found at CUSP was all of those shops combined into one, and more. For starters, I was quite impressed with the new price points created for CUSP shoppers. Top designers with jewelry on-demand are available at prices $50 and up, with the styles and latest trends you would find at any boutique like Dog Eared and Kendra Scott. Next, on to the panties! Yes, my favorite panties ever, Commando by herlook. An awesome, as if you were in Vegas only, display of their latest colors and prints including crystal encrusted skull designed knickers for your bottom. Handbags and belts vary but still attainable at a $150 and up price point, and the shoes. The shoes! Yes, CUSP will carry a wonderful display of the latest styles by the latest designers and will not creep over the $250 price point.

The concept of CUSP originated in 2006 with pop-up style stores outside of the actual Neiman Marcus anchor. The idea is to attract the mid 20-40 somethings that are looking for a trendy, designer look, but not ready to spend the high dollar price point many high-end fashion houses like Christian Dior, Roberto Cavali and Gucci demand. This style of store appeals to those who want the cutting edge of fashion at prices that are not out of whack for their budgets. For the Neiman Marcus stores that have re-envisioned their Contemporary department into the CUSP department, particularly the Las Vegas Neiman Marcus store, the area itself is much more shop-able, favoring colors and trends vs. designers for the majority of their merchandising. If you are looking for that hot pink blouse, there is a display ready for you to choose the style that suits you best, no matter the price point or designer. However, if you are loyal to a brand, you don’t have to search too hard to find the hautest looks from fashion faves like Haute Hippie, Joie, Helmut Lang and more.

I’m totally digging CUSP, and I’m almost convinced that I won’t need to make that extra trip to the “other end of the mall”. Pretty sure you will like it, too! You have an exclusive invite from RockStarMom Las Vegas to attend the official launch party of CUSP at Neiman Marcus in the Fashion Show Mall. Whether you are local or visiting Las Vegas at the time, make sure to stop in for this lively event!

Saturday, July 7 from 12-3pm. Blowouts by Brandon Martinez (creator of the haircare line B. the Product), makeovers from Laura Mercier, manicures, a  photo booth, and more. Check out the invite for more info and make sure to RSVP!
